On
the right, a MicroR meter is tested on our calibrated radium source
range.
This range has been characterized for scatter and background to provide
accurate dose rates from the radium source. Radium is used to
provide
a gamma energy spectrum similar to what is found in most uranium mining
and milling operations.
All
instrument calibrations are done using our proprietary database and
report
generation software. All calibration data is available in an easy
to search database which is automatically updated at the time of the
calibration.
Calibration certificates are generated from the data in this database.
Information can be found quickly, and lost or damaged certificates can be called up and reprinted if the need should arise.
Data for previous calibrations or work performed on
a
given instrument, type of instrument, or for a particular customer can
be quickly found for reference or to help with new calibration or
repair
work. This system helps us to benefit from previous experience
with
various instrument models and types, and even to track characteristics
of individual instruments.
